Pharmaceutical Chemistry
The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, established in 1983, provides rigorous and comprehensive training in both core and applied chemical sciences that are fundamental to drug discovery, development, and quality analysis. The department offers postgraduate (M.Pharm) and doctoral (Ph.D.) programmes in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis, alongside postgraduate diplomas such as Computer-Aided Drug Design and Food & Drug Analysis. With modern laboratories, advanced instrumentation, well-qualified faculty, and a curriculum blending medicinal chemistry, analytical methods, organic chemistry and computational drug-design, the department readies students for careers in pharmaceutical research, drug development, quality control, analytical services, and other scientific roles in industry and academia.
