Indian Association of Public Health Dentistry initiated an award titled 'The Mani Bagyalakshmi IAPHD Silver Jubilee Endowment Award for faculty of Public Health Dentistry with Highest research output per year' from the academic year 2018-19.

The award was open to all faculties of Public Health Dentistry in the country which takes into consideration the publications by faculty in various indexed national and international journals in one year, patents published and h- index as important parameters.

Dr. Chandra Shekar BR who is workings as Professor and HOD, Department of Public Health Dentistry at JSS Dental College and Hospital received this award for the year 2018-19 from the President, Indian Association of Public Health Dentistry during the 24th National conference of Indian Association of Public Health Dentistry which was held from 15th to 17th November 2019 at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.
