White coat ceremony was held on 6-9-19 for third year students, who are fresh entries to dental clinics. This program is held every year to initiate students into clinical dentistry. Dr. Manthappa M, Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, JSS Medical College and Hospital, was the chief guest. Principal, Dr. Ravindra S, presided over the function.

The program started with a welcome speech and proceeded to invocation and lighting of the lamp.

Dr. Deepika, the program coordinator, spoke about the significance of White Coat. Dr. Pratibha introduced the chief guest. Chief guest Dr. Manthappa enlightened the students about the importance of white coat, responsibility of doctors and chair side manners. This program concluded with an interactive session on communication skillsby Dr. Sunila BS.
