It has a vision and a mission of achieving national and international distinction while strengthening local relevance. The courses offered covers a wide spectrum of biological, biomedical and environmental sciences with several interdisciplinary research areas. Plethora of job opportunities awaits for the graduates of SLS at various biotechnological, agricultural, pharmaceutical industries and R & D organizations as well as teaching institutions across the country and overseas.
